How to create a high converting sales page on wordpress

Is your sales page on WordPress a Frankenstein that scares customers away?

Let’s be honest.

If your sales page looks like a puzzle of blocks, plugins and texts without direction… then you already know what happens: it doesn’t convert.

Like Frankenstein would do, your page scares your clients faster than anything can.

This sounds funny but means you have no sales.

Which is the fucking purpose of your page and business on the first place.

Hilarious, but don’t worry is not your fault that you’ve created a moster, you didn’t know any better

But now, it’s your resposability to improve your sales page.

I hear the pain of sales pages that scares customers instead of inviting them to become clients, every day.

Entrepreneurs who invested in pretty templates, cheap freelancers or spent hours on YouTube “learning” WordPress… only to end up with a page that does not reflect the value of their offer and that, even worse, loses money every day it’s online.

This hurts the brand, because it’s not just an aesthetic problem.

It’s a strategic problem.

A poorly designed sales page is like having a drunk salesman representing your business 24/7.

Can you see the problem?…

That’s what your Frankenstein it’s doing.

The mistake that is killing your sales

The most common mistake is believing that a sales page is a web page with text.

When in reality it is your most strategic salesman, working 24/7 to close high-value clients for you.

I know because I have seen hundreds of pages on WordPress that are nothing more than a digital Frankenstein:

  • Disconnected headlines.
  • Hidden testimonials.
  • Buttons that no one finds or lead to nowhere.
  • Guarantees that generate more doubts than trust.
  • And any mistake that you can possibly imagine that comes against any marketing wisdom out there, things that make marketers have nightmares just from seeing them.

But don’t panic, there’s a solution to your drunk Frankenstein salesman…

here is the revelation that changes everything once you understand it and start living based on it:

👉 A sales page is not “assembled”.

👉 It is architected.

This is what makes your page look like an elite salesman (a better representing of your brand)

It’s not about random blocks.

It’s about designing an Architectural Persuasion Machine: a visual and verbal structure that inevitably guides the visitor towards the “Yes, I want it”.

Every block have a purpose and it’s there for a reason not by accident

All elements in the page are intentional and designed to move prospects towards an inevitable clear outcome: Making them want to buy.

Every block, every word, every color, all of them are aligned with the overall goal of your sales page…

…Triggering their desire to buy from you.

The blueprint: the 10 pillars that every sales page needs to perform well

After auditing dozens of premium infobusiness pages, I discovered that the pages that convert share 10 non-negotiable pillars so here they are:

  1. The hero is the client: The copy must revolve around their transformation, not your ego. Make everything you do about them, not you. You’re not the hero on this story, they are, you are the guide that helps them unlish the power within themselves. Your copy must talk about what they want not what you want.
  2. The journey map: A clear sequence of blocks: Hero → Problem → Agitation → Solution → Social Proof → Offer → CTA → FAQ → Guarantee → Close.

Hero = calling out your audience

Problem = their current painful situation

Agitation = twist the knife and make them feel more pain for staying the same rather than trying to imporve

Solution = relief their pain offering hope of a better future with your product

Social proof = show that your path to success works for others not just for you

Offer = presenting your unique solution to solve their pains

CTA = Tell them what step to take next so they can improve their life.

FAQs = Solve their most recurring doubts to make your offer a no-brainer to say yes

Guarantee = have a risk reversal making them feel they can take a step back if they don’t like it

Close = make them take the desired action through all the copy on the page

  1. The unstoppable hook: This is the headline, subheadline and opening of your copy that stops the visitor in their tracks so they pay attention to your page. Your objective with each paragraph in your copy is to ensure they read the next paragraph. The headline leads to the subheadline, this leads to the opening, the opening to the first paragraph, and so on and on. Make your hook compelling and then you will gain the chance to persuade them with your sales page.
  2. The symphony of social proof: People are skeptical than ever, they are looking for something, no matter how small, to enables them to say no to you, if you give them that reason you lose. But, how can you don’t give them the option of disstrust you? or even better, trust you a little bit more than usual?… With testimonials and cases strategically placed on your site.

If they see, other people succeeding with your path to success it’s more likely they will assume they can succeed too with your offer.

  1. The irresistible offer: If your base is wrong, all will fall apart. You need to make sure your offer is really irresistible for them. Not even the best copy can sell a shity offer just cominicate better the offer value, so make sure yours is irresistible from the core. The perceived value is just a better communication of your core value. The irresistible offer itself is what makes them pay attention to your copy and page which give you the chance of making them want to buy.

If they don’t pay attention, they don’t buy but if you get their attention there’s a chance to persuade them to buy but only if you trigger their desire to buy from you.

How?… you do that using the power of copywriting and your offer itself to evoke those emotions that make them feel this is a no-brainer offer and if they say no they are stupid by packaging and presenting your product with irresistible features, benefits, bonuses, and transformations that rise desire because are the things your avatar wants the most.

  1. The inevitable CTA: If you don’t tell them what to do next after reading your copy, they will be lost, people are bussy, they forget things that are too complex, if they enjoy reading your page but find to hard or complex to understand what is the next step, they will not even try. Make sure your CTAs are clear, easy to understand and call their attention very quickly. Making the transition to the next step as smoothly as you can possibly do. There’s when you use buttons designed and placed to be impossible to ignore and lead visitors to the next step.
  2. The objection killer: An objection is just a question on their mind that haven’t been answered yet, which acts like a barrier, but once you answer to it in a favorable way, turst increases and the barrier doesn’t longer exist, that makes the sale a natural consequence. Is good to overcome all their objections during all your page but also it helps to overcome them on a specific section to do it, this is the FAQs section, here you put the answers to the most frequent asked questions about your offer so that tear down barriers before they even arise.
  3. The wall of trust: Humans don’t like risk, either percived or real risk, it’s your job to reduce that risk so they can have the least resistance to buy from you or they will hear that voice that sabotage themselves and not improve their life with your offer. People like to feel they have other choices, they need to feel they can take a step back if they don’t like it for any reason. That’s what a powerful guarantee does for you. A powerful guarantee generates security, trust and removes the objection of taking a risk. The more you can make them feel secure, the more they will be willing to buy from you.
  4. The visual builder: Visual design is not the make or break of your page but it’s still important if you want to have a professional look that increases trust. That’s why WordPress tools like Thrive Architect or Elementor works so well to achieve this. Everything in your page should be connected and look professional to increase the chances of your page to make you money
  5. The optimization engine: What you measure gets improved, what you don’t measure gets worse. Make sure you analize and optimize you page based on the data that you recieve, use plugins for A/B testing and analytics that turn data into decisions to make your sales page better over time.

The 3 pillars that most impact your results

If I had to choose only 3 to focus on today, they would be these:

1. Conversion Architecture (Journey Map)

The order of the blocks is not optional.

A powerful “hero” opens the door. The “problem + agitation” block deepens the wound. The “solution” appears as the lifeline. And so on until the close.

👉 If the order fails, persuasion breaks.

2. Flow of Persuasive Copy

Each block must speak your client’s language.

  • Headlines that capture attention.
  • Benefits written like bullets that awaken desire.
  • FAQs that eliminate hidden fears.

Copy does not describe things: it evokes the desired emotions, persuades to behave differently and sells them making them feel they want to buy.

3. Technical Arsenal in WordPress

This is where most people get lost.

  • Thrive Architect: optimized for conversion, with native functions for leads and A/B tests.
  • Elementor Pro: more visual, flexible, but requires more plugins to match Thrive’s power.

The choice depends on your priority: conversion or design.

The real transformation: from chaos to clarity

When you understand that your sales page is not a collage, but a persuasive architecture, something changes:

  • You go from feeling lost to having a clear blueprint.
  • You go from shame to pride when you share your page.
  • You go from losing money every day to having a premium salesman working 24/7 for you.

I have seen clients increase their conversion by 50%, even double sales, by applying these 10 pillars.

It was not magic. It was system.

Your next step

Now you have two options:

  1. Continue with your digital Frankenstein. (I truly don’t recomend this)
